Our Team
President/ Artistic Director
Dr. Barbara Nicolosi is an award-winning screenwriter, speaker, and professor with decades of experience in Hollywood. A member of the Writers Guild of America-West, her credits include Fatima (2020) and consulting on The Passion of the Christ. Founder of Act One and Write Spirit, she leads Looking Up Media’s mission to create cinema that glorifies truth, virtue, and beauty.
Chief Operating Officer
With a background in theatre, film, and talent management, Alana Monroe brings creative and organizational expertise to Looking Up Media. A graduate of Franciscan University with a BA in Theatre, she has worked in performance, agency leadership, and education. Alana ensures every project reflects the company’s commitment to artistic integrity and transcendent storytelling.
Director of Business Development
Steve Monroe is a veteran actor with over 150 film, TV, and commercial credits. As executive producer, he helped secure multi-million-dollar funding for Lonesome Soldier. A practicing psychotherapist, he supports artists in recovery and fosters collaboration across the industry. At Looking Up Media, Steve unites people and ideas to bring meaningful stories to life.
Board of Directors
William F. Brandt, Jr. is the Executive Producer of the award-winning documentary HERE. IS. BETTER., a powerful film offering hope to veterans and others living with PTSD. A successful entrepreneur and author, he serves on the Board of Directors of Looking Up Media, LLC and leads the Here Is Better Foundation, using storytelling to inspire healing and change.
Artistic Director
Angela Andrews is passionate about how believers’ creativity reflects God as the ultimate Creator. This vision inspired her to co-found Write Spirit and join Looking Up Media. She helps equip writers to reach for transcendence in storytelling and has written screenplays, two novels, and taught story from elementary through graduate level.
